During the Diamond League gala in Zurich on September 5, sports history will be experienced. For the first time, a pole vaulter and a 400-meter runner will meet in a pure 100-meter duel.
Duplanti’s Duel
The world stars Armand Duplantis and Karsten Warholm will settle the historic duel. Both also enter the challenge full of confidence.

Warholm has already stuck out his chin and came up with a cocky statement to Norwegian NRK. Where he admits that it would be “embarrassing” to be beaten by a pole vaulter in a sprint competition.
– Yes, a little. But I’m more excited about what he can achieve, says the Norwegian in a statement.
“Mondo’s” response
Mondo also has great faith in himself and reveals that he has been training extra with starting block training recently to prepare himself. But he doesn’t see himself as a given winner right away.
– I don’t know who is the best, but I have confidence. I have a good chance, says Duplantis to SVT.
