Arlanda express train derailed – major traffic disruptions

An Arlanda express train derailed near Märsta, near Arlanda, at 04.40 on Saturday morning. Two people have been taken to hospital in an ambulance.

The train derailed at the height of Arlanda city, just over four kilometers from Arlanda airport. There were 67 people on board and all have been evacuated from the train.

After the derailment, all Arlanda Express have been cancelled, and according to the Swedish Transport Administration, there are major disruptions in traffic for northbound trains. According to SJ’s press service, you can still run trains via Märsta instead.

All Arlanda Express departures are cancelled, the company states on its website.
