New World is one of Asmongold’s favorite MMORPGs. The streamer, who became known mainly through WoW, regularly looks into the game from Amazon. But in his last live stream he had a hard time finding a group.
What happened to the streamer? Actually, Asmongold just wanted to play the dungeon “The Deep”. For this, however, he needs 4 other players. He himself took on the role of the tank and he had a DD in his luggage. Now only one healer and two more DDs were missing.
But even after more than 15 minutes of waiting, no other player signed up. For the Twitch streamer, this is a rather unusual picture, after all, he can’t save himself from the fact that viewers want to play with him.
He complains annoyed:
Really, aren’t there even three damn players? Come on people!

New World is having trouble finding dungeons of medium difficulty – but the fix is coming
Why is he having this problem? New World rolled out the latest update with the first raid boss on July 6th. That drove the number of players back up a bit. Since then, the MMORPG has broken the mark of 25,000 simultaneous players in three days. Even at the low points, there are always at least 10,000 people online.
So there is no real shortage of players. However, Asmongold wanted to play the dungeon on Mutation 7 difficulty. While the normal dungeons and mutations 1, 2, 3, and 10 are fairly well populated, it’s hard to find groups for the medium difficulty levels. Because if you can master the high ones and thus get better rewards, you rarely go down a level.
To make matters worse, the Twitch streamer was playing at 4am. There were probably only around 400 to 500 people online on his server, who were then divided into a wide variety of activities. Some will probably have tried the new raid.
How is New World addressing the problem? But although the external circumstances probably led to the long waiting time at Asmongold, the problem of finding a group cannot generally be denied. However, Amazon is already working on a solution.
According to the roadmap, cross-server dungeons and PvP arenas should come with the update in the fourth quarter. After that it will be much easier to find players for the niche runs.
