Many families take Highway by car to get to their summer vacation spot… And don’t escape the motorway tolls which represent a real budget for households. To preserve the purchasing power of users in the face of inflation, the Minister Delegate for Transport Clément Beaune asked, this Wednesday, June 7 on RTL, A commercial gesture to motorway companies for summer holidays. “Last year, there was a 10% reduction for those who benefit from holiday vouchers, it’s nearly 5 million French people, so it’s an important gesture. I would like us to have a gesture at less equivalent this year for families going on holiday by road”, he said on air RTL. Following this call, the Vinci Autoroutes group, the leading French motorway concessionaire whose network extends over more than 4,000 km of motorways, has planned to set up this summer a discount on the toll.
How much is the discount offered by Vinci Autoroutes to users?
In a Press releasethe group explains that “Vinci Autoroutes offers 20% discount on tolls to holiday voucher users.” This reduction is aimed at holidaymakers who use holiday vouchers to pay for a Ulys Liber-T Vacances electronic toll subscription. They will thus benefit “of one matching contribution of 20% of the amount, paid by VINCI Autoroutes”says the group.
How to save on tolls with the Vinci Autoroutes discount?
To benefit from the 20% offer from Vinci Autoroutes, one condition must be met: everyone must fund their Ulys Liber-T Vacances electronic toll subscription using their holiday vouchers “between next June 15 and July 31”. Once loaded, Vinci Autoroutes will pay the amount corresponding to the 20% discount. “The amount credited can be used to pay for any future motorway journey, whether it is made this summer or later”, indicates the motorway company.
What other deals are on the motorways this summer?
Vinci Autoroutes is not the only group to offer discounts for this summer. The motorway operator APRR and AREA has for its part announced a 25% offer reserved for users who have holiday vouchers. Those “who already have a Liber-t Vacances electronic toll subscription or wish to subscribe to it” will touch “in June, July and August a matching contribution of 25% on the amount of holiday vouchers credited to the Fulli electronic toll badges, so, for example, for an amount of 100 euros credited, the Liber-t VACANCES subscriber will have a credit of 125 euros”details the company in a press release.
The offer of the APRR group and AREA is already available, “online and in customer areas, and valid until August 31, 2023 inclusive”.
