This makes it the ideal weapon for keeping an eye on some of your loved ones. Whether it’s because you have doubts about your partner or you worry about your children, who can unfortunately meet bad people or become addicted to their smartphone, you probably have your reasons, and they only concern you – promise , we don’t judge! –, but keep in mind that this is not necessarily very moral… First of all, know that you cannot remotely access a contact’s conversations on WhatsApp, because instant messaging provides encryption end-to-end, which means that the content of the messages remains completely opaque to any third party; only senders and recipients can decrypt them. However, there are some tips to find out what is going on on your target’s account. However, it is important to note that these methods are not foolproof and sometimes require short access to the person’s device.
How to know who is chatting with whom on WhatsApp?
The first thing to pay attention to is connection times. Indeed, WhatsApp indicates the time of the last connection of each user. Simply open the chat you have with the person you want to monitor to see if they are online or not and, if so, see when they last connected. If you see that the person is often online at the same time as another contact, this may indicate that they often chat together. However, be careful with hasty conclusions, you must not become paranoid!
To actually have access to the person’s conversations, you can use WhatsApp Web – which allows you to chat from a browser – but this requires physical access to the target phone for several minutes. Open WhatsApp Web on your browser, then launch the app on the target device, go to the Settings menu and tap Connected devices. Then tap Connect a device and scan the QR code displayed on WhatsApp Web. Once this connection is made, you will see the discussions appear in real time. Be careful not to disconnect accidentally!
You can also watch directly in the target device’s app. There is a trick to save time and avoid opening conversations one by one. For this, WhatsApp offers an option classifying the contacts with whom the most interactions have been made. Go to Settings, then Data & Storage.
