The social network could soon display the number of tweets you post each month on its platform.
How many tweets do you post each month? You may soon find out. The social network is indeed testing a counter displaying the average number of tweets that you post every month on the service. The feature, which was unearthed a month ago by developers specializing in reverse engineering, has just appeared on the accounts of some users, reports TechCrunch.
this new twitter feature where they tell you how many tweets you do per month is actually extremely rude imo pic.twitter.com/tNFIAuwinz

The potential arrival of a tool to quantify the use you make of Twitter may surprise you, and above all, make some people realize that they spend far too much time on the platform. But this tweet counter might be more useful for deciding whether or not you should subscribe to an account. Because if an overly active user is indeed likely to pollute your timeline, a user who is not very talkative on the platform is probably of little interest.
“This is part of an ongoing experiment in which we are investigating how providing more context about an account’s Tweet frequency can help people make more informed decisions about which accounts they choose to engage with. engage,” a Twitter spokesperson told TechCrunch.
According to studies conducted in 2019 by the Pew Research Center, an American research center providing statistical data, an average Twitter user posts about twice a month on the platform. But the most interesting thing is probably that only 10% of Twitter users are responsible for more than 80% of tweets posted on the social network.
