In the season finale of “Bachelor in Paradise” we learn that Elin Johansson and Oscar Armando Batres are still a couple. The last episode was recorded in February and nine months later, Elin and Oscar confirm that they are still a couple today.
– We are together and we will be living together in a week. It feels super fun, finally! We have really had ice cream in our stomachs for it to feel completely one hundred percent between us. And now it feels completely 100, after these months, says Elin.
The shipment now goes from Ängelholm to Gothenburg for Oscar, who explains that he wanted to leave his hometown and when Elin entered Gothenburg to study, the choice became obvious.
– It feels fantastic that we can really start our journey towards the future, live together full-time. It has been difficult with the distance and it will be so nice to leave Ängelholm. I do it for our sake, so that we can be with each other. It was an easy decision, says Oscar.
This is how the relationship developed after the program
Keeping the relationship a secret during these months has not been easy.
– It feels sad that we weren’t able to go out or do much, it’s a bit sad. But instead we’ve been at home and gotten very close to each other’s families, so that’s an advantage, says Elin.
– It’s not optimal to have to be secretive, like it’s not real, but of course it is. It will be nice to live as a couple, says Oscar.
Over the course of the show, viewers could see the couple go through some adversity, but as soon as they left the filming bubble, their trust in each other has been constant.
– The trust became a completely different thing when we came home and left that bubble and realized that we were really in love with each other, says Elin.
– We have been involved in everything, especially in Mexico. It feels like we can handle everything, every setback has made us stronger. All the problems there meant that we knew what we had to do to function on the outside, says Oscar.
Are Elin and Oscar engaged?
We could also see a lot of loving moments between the couple. Like during the promise ceremony, when Oscar got down on one knee which could be interpreted as a proposal. Now Oscar explains how it is.
– We usually joke that we are engaged on television. In a way, we are engaged, but if we are to get married in the future, I want to propose for real, in another way. But we are very much together and it is clear that ring means something to me. It makes me think of our trip, I always wear it, explains Oscar.
– These are memories, imagine if we are together all our lives and then we have this on film, he adds.
And maybe it will be. The future looks bright according to both of them.
– Now we are going to move in together, and we both want to have children as soon as possible. But right now I’m studying, so we should wait at least two years. Then maybe we’ll be one more, says Elin.
– I love Oscar, he is my best friend. I can’t imagine a life without him, she continues.
And big words of love also come from Oscar.
– I am very much in love with Elin today and love her so much. I’m so glad we’re here and that we both feel the way we do. It just feels so right between us, he says.
