This happened with the big MMORPGs:

  • Patch 10.2.7 for World of Warcraft will be released on May 8th, 2024. From May 16th you can jump into the time-limited in-game event Remix: Mists of Pandaria. Since the event is about leveling up through Pandaria with a freshly created character, Blizzard is increasing the number of maximum character slots per account from 60 to 65.
  • There are new insights from the Alpha of WoW: The War Within! Alchemy will play a big role in the upcoming add-on, with a variety of potions. It is also clear that all Azeroth heroes have to start from scratch in their professions.
  • The developers of Lost Ark have published the new roadmap for the next three months. There are so many new features on it that players are complaining about the high speed of updates.
  • A highly anticipated alpha feature of Star Citizen had to be postponed: the cargo functions with the personal player hangar, cargo elevators, item banks and cargo missions. Some other improvements have made it into the current test version, such as optimizations for the first-person perspective and the arena commander mode, or improvements to water simulation and calculation.
  • The developers of New World present you with an in-depth analysis of the eight artifacts that will come into play in the coming season (via the official website).
  • The April 24, 2024 patch for Black Desert ensured that the so-called “Life Skills” are now no longer only available to the character, but to the entire family (via official patch notes). This is a great convenience gain.
  • This happened with the small MMORPGs:

  • Albion Online finally received a European server this week. The first season of the server is scheduled to start in May (via the official website).
  • Life is Feudal: MMO is back! After a break of more than three years, there were immediately negative reviews on Steam.
  • Lineage 2 turns 20 and is celebrating the anniversary in three different versions of the MMORPG oldie.
  • On June 27, 2024, those responsible at Kakao Games will shut down ArcheAge’s servers (via the official website).
  • The expansion “Adventures in Wildspace” was released for Neverwinter on April 23, 2024 (via the official website). In this you can, among other things, experience the finale of the Spelljammer story, which was initiated with the previous expansion.
  • CCP has announced the new expansion Equinox for Eve Online, which will be released on June 11th. You can expect a strengthened Nullsec space, the ability to create custom skins, and improvements to your Vanguard arsenal (via the official website).
  • This is what happened with the MMORPGs in development:
