The second season of the Netflix series Arcane is in the starting blocks. But after that it should be over. The showrunner now explains why this is a good thing.
What is Arcane? This series, set in the League of Legends universe, was released in 2021 and was a real feast for all fans of the game. But even viewers who had previously had nothing to do with LoL could have fun with the 9 episodes.
The animation style particularly stood out and made for some beautiful images. Fans had to wait three years before the first act continued on November 9th. The second follows on November 16th, the third on November 23rd.
Like season 1, the sequel is also on Netflix. But then it should be over. If the showrunner in charge has his way, anything else would be a mistake.

Stop when it’s best
Why does the series end with season 2? Arcane showrunner Christian Linke spoke to CinemaBlend about his work. According to him, the aim is to avoid the series taking too long:
We always had a certain story in mind. You see, it could definitely have been expanded. But for us it was always the case that we started with that thought in our heads. I think there is also a personal aspect as a creative. We’ve all seen the TV shows where the writers are clearly running out of energy.

Working on the series has already taken nine years, a long time to work on a single series. Left goes even further and says that it would be simply irresponsible to stretch the story any further. He and his team would then no longer be able to do justice to her. You don’t want to overdo it.
What is Season 2 about? The coming episodes should mark the climax of the series. Once again, lots of well-known characters from the LoL universe appear. Including Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, and many others.
A few years have passed since the events of Season 1. The story of the two sisters Jinx and Vi should be told to the end. It’s also about the fight between the city of Piltover and Silco’s allies.
With season 2, the team around Christian Linke is completing their vision of the LoL series. Fans don’t need to be sad because the production team has already announced that there will be more projects in the LoL universe.
