It won the Arcane Emmy award for “Awesome Animated Show”, surpassing competitors like The Simpsons, Rick and Morty.
It was the first video game adaptation series to win an Arcane Emmy Award. Arcane, which was released on Netflix last year and received great attention and even approved its second season, was already accepted by the masses as one of the best game adaptations. The success of the series was truly crowned at the Emmy Awards.
Arcane made history by winning an Emmy award
Arcane, who won the “Fabulous Animated Show” award at the Emmy Awards, included competitors such as Marvel’s What If…?, The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, Rick and Morty. Christian Linke, one of the producers of the series, received the award on behalf of the team:
” Thank you all. Winning this award for our processing of video games meant a lot to us. It was amazing that our story and characters are embraced around the world. A big thank you to Netflix and Riot Games, the creators of the League of Legends brand, who believed in us from the very beginning. Thank you to everyone we’ve worked with on the League of Legends team for 12 years.
Arcane had already proven its success by getting a second season approval right before the Emmy awards. Riot Games then bought part of Fortiche, the animation studio behind the series.
