Aquascope this water park of the future opens in July

A water park like you’ve never seen before: this is the colossal project of Futuroscope, which is preparing to inaugurate, in July 2024, Aquascope, which combines water and digital technology. A unique immersive experience in France.

THE Futuroscope park expands with the inauguration, in July 2024, of the Aquascope, a project thought up 6 years ago and which promises plenty of sensations. With an interior surface area of 6000 m2, this very futuristic and unique water park in France is entirely themed with immersion at the heart of the experience. And this is what makes it so original, since we will be able to see decorations and fish appear on the surface of the water, while swimming, thanks to video mapping, immersive, scripted and digital aqua-play experiences. Three spaces will allow visitors to live this unique and sensory experience:

The immersion zone aqua-digital, with an aquatic cinema, an underwater vision experience, a futuristic world of video mapping on water, fountains, special effects.

The Aqua-fun area for children aged 3 and over. Families will be able to float across the gentle river, 350 meters long, which extends over the three areas of the water park.

The sensation zone with eight dizzying slides including a Rocket (with trapdoor and vertical start), a spiral-shaped slide, another with a head-first start, a double slide for racing (the Racer) as well as a slide with buoys for families of 4 to 5 people.

Also on the program: a suspended net overlooking the wave pool, without forgetting the exotic spaces, dedicated to rest and relaxation. Indeed, an outdoor area will host a river, a magnificent pool and a beach. And that’s not all: nightly events will also be organized at the bar, with a DJ area.

In total, 1,700 people can be accommodated simultaneously and 45 lifeguards have been recruited to monitor and run the site. “The initial idea was to create a new half-day experience and extend the length of stay for visitors to the Park.“, specifies Rodolphe Bouin, chairman of the Futuroscope Board of Directors, during a press conference organized on January 25, 2024.

After the inauguration of its first Objectif Mars roller coaster, the Tornado Hunters attraction as well as the opening of the Station Cosmos hotel housing a very futuristic restaurant, the Futuroscope park continues to develop successfully. The Aquascope, which cost more than 60 million euros, promises to make people happy. The park should open the first half of July 2024, according to our sources.
