Approval for giant acquisition from England

According to the CMA’s statement, the institution concluded that Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision, excluding cloud gaming rights, would not harm competitive prices and service in the market.

Ubisoft will purchase Activision Blizzard’s cloud gaming rights.

CMA BLOCKED APPROXIMATELY 69 BILLION DOLLARS OF PURCHASES

In April this year, the CMA announced that it blocked Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision for approximately $ 69 billion due to concerns that it would change the future of the cloud gaming market.

Microsoft, on the other hand, submitted a new agreement to the regulatory body to purchase Activision Blizzard last month.

Within the scope of the structured agreement, it was stated that Microsoft would not acquire cloud streaming rights for all existing and new Activision games to be released in the next 15 years, and that these rights would be sold to Ubisoft Entertainment SA before Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard.
