We are looking for a senior editor (m/f/d) for our Berlin office from January 2024.

WHAT YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO:

  • You write news and opinion articles and, in consultation with other teams (SEO, social, etc.), ensure that they reach the widest possible readership
  • In consultation with the editorial team, you independently find topics and conceptual ideas and develop possible solutions
  • You will be involved in the conception and implementation of Moviepilot content for other platforms in addition to the website, such as podcasts, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok
  • Ideally, you also enjoy being in front of the camera
  • You may attend press screenings, interview appointments and other events in order to report on films and series in the most exciting and entertaining way possible

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic team member with a strong passion for films, series, TV and entertainment, who has a keen desire and talent for opinionated writing
  • Extensive knowledge of film, series, TV and German pop culture
  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience in online editing
  • Excellent knowledge of German and very good English (press presentations, interviews, press events often take place in English)
  • The desire to write catchy and entertaining for a large readership
  • Experience in dealing with Google Analytics and corresponding evaluations
  • In-depth experience with SEO and the joy of trying out what type of texts are not only exciting but also read by the largest possible number of people
  • Good knowledge of Google Workspace and image editing
  • Confident demeanor
  • Fun and adaptability to try out areas that were previously unfamiliar
