From time to time, Apple may decide to stop the production of a product. For example, this decision was valid in March 2021 for the full-size HomePod, which we can call the big brother of the smart speaker HomePod mini. The 12-inch MacBook and iMac Pro also shared the same fate with the HomePod and took their place among the discontinued Apple products. It’s unclear whether these products will make a comeback, but a rumor spreading suggests that the “comeback” dream of fans of the three products may come true in the future.
HOMEPOD MYTH RELEASED
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman suggested that Apple has developed a new HomePod with the S8 chip that it will use in the Apple Watch Series 8. He added that the new HomePod will have an updated display on top.
Released in February 2018, HomePod received criticism for its sound quality. Also, the $349 launch price was found to be very high compared to rival smart speakers like Amazon Echo and Google Home. The sales of the speaker have not been very lively, although Apple has lowered its price.
APPLE CAN ALSO BRING MACBOOK BACK
Mark Gurman also said that Apple is considering launching an entirely new 12-inch laptop by 2024. While it’s unclear whether the laptop will be called the MacBook, MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro, many think it will be called the MacBook, replacing the MacBook, which was discontinued in July 2019. With Apple’s move to Apple Silicon M-series chips on the Mac, there’s always the possibility of the MacBook returning.
The 12-inch MacBook was released in March 2015. The computer weighed two kilograms and had a slim design. The 12-inch MacBook’s features included a fanless design, a single USB-C port for data transfer and charging, and a new Force Touch. The MacBook came with an innovative battery design that allowed a larger battery to fit.

There are rumors that the iMac Pro, which was discontinued in March 2021, will also make a comeback with M-series chips. Gurman noted in a news release last month that he believes a larger iMac or iMac Pro is still working on it and could arrive next year.
According to this time frame, the computer can be powered by M2 Pro and M2 Max chips.
