2023 was the year we started to give mobile AI a big boost with phones like the Google Pixel 8, but it looks like this is the year when AI on phones will really take off. After the launch of the AI-packed Samsung Galaxy S24 series, we now expect Apple to embrace AI, and according to the latest leak, the company may even launch an AI App Store.
Apple wants to embrace artificial intelligence
This is according to Ben Reitzes, head of technology research at Melius Research, who said in an interview with CNBC that Apple is working on an AI App Store, saying the company is talking to Google. It is mentioned that this new type of App Store is one of the many models that you can access from Google to benefit from artificial intelligence.
First, an announcement in June almost certainly means this AI App Store will be announced at WWDC 2024; as this is likely to be in June and is the obvious venue for a major software announcement.
