Apple Music Audio Plan Discontinued

Apple Music Audio Plan Discontinued

Apple has discontinued its $5-per-month Voice Plan for Apple Music, designed to let Siri access the platform’s catalog via voice command, likely due to limited user interaction. Apple introduced the Voice Plan in October 2021. This was a $5 monthly subscription designed to allow users to access the platform’s catalog using Siri voice commands. However, as of Wednesday, Apple removed this option from the Apple Music subscription page, as MacMagazine noted.

Apple decided to stop its Siri-supported voice plan

Apple has created a support page to explain what’s happening with Apple Music Voice. Existing users have access until their current subscription expires, after which they must get a new Apple Music plan. Apple Music Audio Plan allowed users to listen to songs, playlists, albums, and other content from Apple Music using just voice commands. However, the service was criticized and did not support Spatial Audio, lossless quality, downloading songs for offline use, or viewing lyrics.
