At Apple, Crimean borders come and go. In 2019, Apple considered in its applications that the state annexed by Russia in 2014 was independent. But with the recent invasion of Ukraine by Russia, the Cupertino company has changed its tune. It has just made new changes in its Apple Maps application as well as in its Weather application.
Crimea is no longer displayed as an independent state. Apple now considers her to be Ukrainian. At least, as long as you are accustomed outside Russian borders. Inside the country, Russian users of Apple products see no change in their applications as revealed Mashable.

The Californian firm has indeed suspended the sale of its products in Russia, blocked the use of Apple Pay and removed the RT News and Sputnik News applications, media affiliated with the Kremlin, from its App Store outside Russia.
