According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, watchOS 10 will introduce a brand new widget system for interacting with the Apple Watch.

In the latest issue of his newsletter, Gurman announced that widgets will become a “central part” of the Apple Watch’s interface with watchOS 10.
It is also claimed that the new interface will be reminiscent of the Siri watch face introduced in watchOS 4.
“It’s also similar to smart grouping, a feature available in iOS and iPadOS that allows users to combine and navigate many widgets together,” added Gurman.
The plan is said to be to allow users to scroll through a number of different widgets, such as activity tracking and weather, rather than launching apps.
It is claimed that Apple is also testing changes to the functions performed by the Apple Watch’s buttons.
Gurman thinks the move is an admission that an iPhone-like app experience “will not always make sense in an hour.” Of course, it is worth mentioning once again that this is Gurman’s idea.
These changes will be one of the biggest software updates since the Apple Watch’s release, Gurman claims.
At the same time, according to Gurman’s claim, it will be the most important change to be made in Apple Watch this year; because only minor hardware updates are expected to be introduced this year.
