Apple has just quietly but significantly increased the prices of its flagship services Apple Arcade, Apple TV+ and Apple One. And suffice to say that the score is rather high when we compare it with the competition!

In order to “to offer the best possible experiences” and produce “high quality content”, Apple changed its price list for its services discreetly in the United States, but also in France and in several European countries, without telling anyone. However, Apple had already significantly increased the prices of Apple TV+, Apple Music and Apple One in October 2022 (see our article). This time, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and Apple One are affected. “Good” news, cloud storage, the Apple Music music platform and the Apple Fitness+ physical activity service are not affected… at least for the moment.

Apple services: increases of up to 43%

The first service affected by this dramatic increase is Apple TV+, Apple’s streaming platform. It offers a catalog of the highest quality, with series like Severance or Slow Horses, even if it is less provided compared to those of its competitors, and offers all its content in 4K at no extra cost – unlike Netflix, where you now have to pay €19.99 to enjoy such quality of picture. After being increased for the first time in October 2022, the subscription goes from €6.99 to €9.99, a nice increase of 43%. It’s quite simple, prices have doubled since the platform began! This is now more expensive than Disney++ (€8.99/month) and Prime Video (€6.99/month), although slightly below Netflix’s Essential plan, which is €10.99 per month since October 19, 2023.

As for Apple Arcade, the video game platform, the subscription has increased by €2, going from €4.99 per month to €6.99, which represents a significant increase of 40%. This is the first increase in the service since its launch in 2019. As for the Apple One bundle – which includes Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple Arcade and Apple Fitness+ – it is also on the rise, once again more. The Individual subscription goes from €16.95 to €19.95 per month – an increase of €3 –, the Family goes from €22.95 to €25.95 per month – an increase of €3 – and Premium from €31.95 to €34.95 per month – an increase of €3. Casually, over an entire year, that adds up to a hell of a lot of money. Finally, Apple News+ – which is not available in France – also sees its price increase from $9.99 to $12.99 in the United States.

Other Apple services do not change prices. Apple Music remains at €10.99 per month, Apple Fitness+ at €9.99, and iCloud retains the same offers. The different trial periods – one month for Apple Music and Apple One, seven days for Apple TV+ – are maintained. These new prices have been applied since October 25 for all future subscribers. Those who are already registered will experience the increase from their next bill.
