The Q4 2023 earnings report came as Apple’s board of directors declared $0.24 per share following a revenue decline from the previous year. This hasn’t been the easiest year for Apple, with revenue declining in all four quarters of 2023. Despite this, the company maintains the dividend rate it paid in the 3rd quarter in the 4th quarter. Apple on Thursday announced Q4 2023 revenue of $89.5 billion, up from $90.1 billion in Q4 2022. The board of directors announced that shareholders will be paid $0.24 per share.
Apple announced its 2023 Q4 earnings report
Cash dividends are paid on November 16 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on November 13, 2023. Apple’s fourth quarter tends to be strange for the company. The newest iPhones are usually announced and released late in the quarter. They were too late to make a material impact in previous years, but given the weaknesses in Apple’s other hardware segments, an earlier-than-usual release in 2023 is clearly evident in earnings.
Another strong point was the increase in Services revenue to $22.3 billion from $19.18 billion in Q4 2022. The revenue from Macs announced during WWDC is having an impact, but it clearly wasn’t enough, with that industry also declining year over year.
