Will it soon be necessary to take out a subscription to own an iPhone? According to Mark Gurman, a journalist from Bloomberg generally well informed, Apple would work on a monthly subscription service to acquire an iPhone, on the same model as a subscription to a service like Apple Music or iCloud.
This subscription system, which resembles a sort of leasing would allow the Californian firm to grow its income a little more by offering a more digestible solution for its customers to smooth out their expenditure on the acquisition of an Apple device.
In addition to offering to subscribe to obtain equipment, Apple could offer offers combining equipment and service. If the information is true, it is indeed likely that Apple will offer a package including an iPhone, the AppleCare warranty, and why not Apple One which includes several services including Apple Music, Apple TV +, Apple Arcade, iCloud + and Apple Fitness + .

Subscribing to this new offer would be as simple as for iCloud or Apple Music. The future subscriber would thus use his Apple ID, as when he buys applications in the App Store or material on Apple’s online store.
By offering a monthly subscription to get an iPhone, Apple would make sure to keep its customers even more captive. By opting for this system, the Cupertino company could allow them to easily change their iPhone to get a newer model as soon as a new model is launched.
If no precise date is known for the time being, this new subscription offer could potentially be offered by the end of 2022.
