With EA’s Apex Legends brand, he does not get rid of trouble in Turkey. In the past months, Apex Legends naming rights were registered in Turkey by a Turk named Cihan Turan. Finally, Apex Legends Mobile was registered by another Turk, Burak Agreement.

Although the name registration applied in several different fields covers different fields such as pesticides, paper products or dishwashing gloves, one of the fields applied is games: Games played in the hall; Appliances, machines and devices (including coin operated) for games that can be connected and played with an external display or monitor.
Following the filing of the application on January 17, 2023, approval was granted by the Patent Registration Office on February 13, 2023. However, in the details of the approval, it was written that an expert similarity search was carried out on February 3, 2023.
It seems that Electronic Arts did not show the necessary care for the Apex Legends brand. When we question the company’s other game brands, we see that important brands such as Battlefield have been registered, but some have not yet been received.
We learned that EA had contacted people who registered the name through their lawyers in previous cases. They will probably follow a similar path for this case as well.
