SOS Alarm received several calls about a fire in an apartment on the second floor on Sunday evening. When the emergency services arrived with five units, it was a fully developed apartment fire. However, the fire was quickly extinguished.
– We remain to ventilate and minimize the risk of spread, says Lars Larsson at the Greater Gothenburg Rescue Service.
According to SOS Alarm, one person has been taken to Sahlgrenska University Hospital, the extent of the injuries is currently unclear.
People on balcony
When the emergency services arrived at the scene, people were standing on a balcony on the floor above.
– I have no information about whether we were able to put out the fire and they were allowed to stay or whether we were allowed to assist with evacuation, says Lars Larsson.
There is currently no information on the cause of the fire.
Just before 19:00 on Sunday, Sahlgrenska announces that a person has life-threatening injuries.
