In the United States, the outgoing president Joe Biden administration plans to remove Cuba from the list of state sponsors of terrorism, the AP news agency reported, citing unnamed official sources.

There are currently four countries on the list maintained by the US State Department: Cuba, Iran, Syria and North Korea.

These countries cannot receive military support from the United States and are also subject to several economic sanctions.
