“Any of the Disneyland-looking characters”

League of Legends has a huge selection of champions. However, a former professional wishes that the “Disneyland characters” would be deleted.

Who is the person you are talking about? Marcus “Dyrus” Hill (31) is a former professional Leage of Legends player who gained particular fame during his time with the US e-sports organization TSM (March 2012 to October 2015). Before that he worked for the Epik Gamer team.

  • Dyrus played in the top lane for TSM and won the NA LCS three times and the IEM World Championship Season IX once alongside Bjergsen.
  • In October 2015, Dyrus ended his career as a LoL e-athlete and then worked as a streamer for TSM until 2017.
  • In 2017, Dyrus returned briefly and shook up the Challenger League with four other ex-professionals.
  • On January 3, 2024, Dyrus agreed to answer some questions on X.com (formerly Twitter) that his followers could ask him. He also revealed which champions he would like to delete from LoL.

The LoL anime Arcane has meanwhile released a teaser trailer for the second season. You can see it here:

Which champions would he delete? When asked which champions Dyrus would delete if he could, the 31-year-old replied: “Zoe, Lillia, Yuumi, Neeko, any of the Disneyland-looking characters except Gwen. I would be happy if any of them were deleted.”

However, Dyrus did not reveal why he would delete these characters of all people and whether their visual design or their abilities were the decisive reason.

However, the magical cat Yuumi in particular is a candidate for many players to be on the list of champions Riot Games should delete.

Yuumi was originally intended as a kind of “beginner’s heroine” that new players could use to attach themselves to an experienced teammate. But the cat became overwhelming in the hands of experienced players and professionals.

Ultimately, Riot Games intervened, weakened Yuumi and broke the support’s dominance in the summer of 2023: LoL has finally ended the dominance of the 2 most hated champs: The fans are cheering
