“Any clue is good to take”, the teenager’s mother calls for witnesses

Any clue is good to take the teenagers mother calls

In front of the press, this Friday March 22, Fanny Groll, the mother of Lina, who has been missing for six months, launched a call for witnesses. His lawyer, Matthieu Alroidi, for his part denounced the lack of communication on the progress of the investigation.

Tomorrow it will be six months since Fanny Groll has had any news from her daughter, Lina. The 15-year-old teenager disappeared on September 23, 2023, while she was going to the Saint-Blaise-la-Roche station (Bas-Rhin), three kilometers from her home. It was on this journey – which she used to do on foot – that her cell phone stopped transmitting, recalls BFMTVand since then, she has remained untraceable.

This Friday March 22, six months after her disappearance, the young girl’s mother spoke to the press. “If anyone remembers anything, has forgotten to say something, a detail, it must be said, I encourage you to do so, it is never too late,” she insisted after having expressed her anger regarding the cyberharassment of which she is a victim and the false information which is circulating and, according to her, hinders the ongoing investigation. Lina’s mother also announced the creation of the Les Étoiles de Lina association. “It’s a benevolent approach, […] with the aim of doing everything possible for Lina’s return and support for the family”, specified Fanny Groll, also announcing the holding of a support concert, on April 20, at the Plaine village hall , of which “all profits […] will be entirely donated to the association.

Removal of doubt

The judicial investigation against X for “kidnapping and sequestration” is still open and the investigation unit of the Molsheim research brigade is still active. “We have still not received, even if the deadline of March 15 has passed, any news on the evolution of the criminal case,” nevertheless affirmed the lawyer of the young girl’s mother, Me Matthieu Alroidi, who spoke first. “Ms. Groll can no longer understand why we don’t have time to inform her about this matter,” regrets the lawyer. “I don’t understand why we are not informed of the leads that have been closed in this case. There are inevitably leads that have been left aside.”

“We are working at high speed, we are carrying out in-depth, more judicial work, with the analysis of numerous elements,” a source close to the investigation also confided to BFMTV, adding that the investigators “are not closing their doors[nt] no leads. We are still carrying out doubt investigations.” For six months, no suspect has been taken into custody and no trace of Lina has been found.
