The Florida Panthers are just one win away from winning the NHL’s Eastern Conference and the Stanley Cup finals. The third win of the conference finals match series over the New York Rangers came with a score of 3–2 early Friday morning Finnish time.
The first period was scoreless. At the beginning of the second period, Rangers took the lead to the joy of the home crowd by Chris Kreider with an underpowered goal, but the guests equalized during the same period.
Florida’s Finnish forward Eetu Luostarinen tried to pass the Rangers keeper by Igor Shestjorkin In a 1-1 situation, putting the stick between his legs and shooting, but this time the Russian goalkeeper took a longer shot.

– He is a significant player. He has scored important goals before and it is fun to watch him play.
Sergei Bobrovsky With Florida’s goal, he made 25 of 27 saves in the match. Official brother Šestjorkinin blocked 34 shots out of 36.
Goalkeeper Bobrovsky was asked after the match whether Lundell will be the Barkov of the future, to which the 35-year-old veskar answered aptly.
– He (Lundell) will be Anton Lundell and he will be a superstar. He is a smart player and makes sensible decisions also in the defensive direction. It’s great to see him score such a big goal.
The teams will meet in the sixth match of the series, Finnish time, early Sunday morning in Sunrise, Florida. The Panthers have a chance to secure a place in the NHL’s Stanley Cup finals for the second season in a row on Sunday. The team clearly beat Carolina in last year’s conference finals with a 4–0 match win, but in the finals the Vegas Golden Knights were stronger with a 4–1 win.
