The Florida Panthers, who played without their captain Aleksander Barkov, took a 4–3 victory over the Boston Bruins.
Florida Panthers Finnish hockey player Anton Lundell opened his scoring account with a rush in his team’s fourth game of the NHL season. Lundell, 23, scored two goals to help Florida pull off a 4-3 away win over the Boston Bruins.
In the opening set, Lundell scored 1-1 from the corner of the goal. In the second period, he spectacularly finished the 4–2 goal into the Boston net. Before Monday’s game, Lundell had recorded one assist in the first games of the season.
Florida too Sam Reinhart scored two goals in the match.
Defending NHL champion Florida has won two and lost two of its four games of the season. Florida’s Finnish captain Alexander Barkov was sidelined for the Boston game due to injury.
Two other matches were also played on Monday afternoon local time. The New Jersey Devils defeated the Utah Hockey Club 3–0 at home. The Ottawa Senators and the Los Angeles Kings, on the other hand, scored goals in a hurry: Ottawa took the longer goal in the overtime with a score of 8-7.
