Anton Lundell did it again – surprised Joonas Korpisalo cheekily

The Finns of the Florida Panthers scored five points against the Ottawa Senators.

The Florida Panthers flashed their attacking ability on the eve of the hockey NHL playoffs, when they bluntly defeated the Ottawa Senators 6–0.

The 3–0 hit was scored by the team’s Finnish players Anton Lundellwho floated the puck from the negative corner to Ottawa’s veskar Joonas Korpisalo through to the backpack at the beginning of the second set.

Lundell produced an almost identical goal against Ottawa and Korpisalo at the end of February when he scored the winning goal in overtime, so the trick could already be described as his trademark.

– Pretty fun, same team as last time. I like that shot. Sometimes you find that there is little space, time and confidence to make it happen. I had a feeling that the puck would go in, this season the powers of 11+21=32 hits Lundell said.

A teammate Nick Cousins could not believe his eyes after the hit.

Powers 0+2 recorded Eetu Luostarinen got an assist from the hit. Also Florian’s captain Alexander Barkov collected two assists in the match.

Florida snapped a two-game losing streak with the win. The team, which secured a place in the playoffs well in advance, has played erratically recently and won only two of its ten previous matches.

Against Ottawa, we saw an energetic panther pack that took a 2-0 lead after only one minute and 37 seconds had been played. It is the fastest 2-0 lead in club history.

The head coach of the team Paul Maurice was pleased with what he saw.

– I liked the action on the bench and how we played on the defensive end. They were really active on the blue line. We blocked moves when we led 4–0 and 5–0. I really liked it. Our underpowered play was really strong. Today we had a lot of pressure, Maurice said.

The win was the 865th of Maurice’s head coaching career in the NHL, and he moved into fourth place in the league’s all-time wins record.

Florida goalkeeper Sergei Bobrovski made 30 saves in the match. Joonas Korpisalo skated to the bench Sam Bennet’s scored a 4–0 goal. Replaced him Anton Forsberg blocked 12 shots.
