(Finance) – The Antitrust will not open an investigation into the concentration operation it has seen in recent months BPM desk acquire exclusive control of Vera Vita and Vera Assicurazioni, the bancassurance joint ventures with Cattolica of which it already held 35%.
The Authority makes this known in the weekly bulletin in which it recalls the opinion of last September with which already theIvass deemed it “not necessary to highlight in the operation in question the existence of elements capable of altering the competitive balance within the markets involved”.
The Antitrsut for its part underlines that “the operation in question does not hinder, pursuant to article 6, paragraph 1, of law no. 287/1990, to a significant extent the competition effective in the markets concerned and does not lead to the creation or strengthening of a dominant position”.
