anti Meloni demonstration in Milan to defend the rights of homoparental

Thousands of people demonstrated in Milan, a city governed by Giuseppe Sala, a left-wing mayor, to defend the rights of children from homoparental families. The government led by Giorgia Meloni, openly pro traditional families, imposes the suspension of civil registration of children from homosexual couples.

We don’t touch our children! »: this slogan was chanted by the very colorful crowd of demonstrators gathered in Piazza della Scala, in Milan, to protest against a recent circular from the Ministry of the Interior.

According to the text transmitted to the local authorities of the State, the birth certificates of children of same-sex couples, with the names of both parents, should no longer be automatically registered in the civil registry.

This results in the denial of the rights of the Intended Parents. At least until they apply for adoption, a very long, costly and sometimes uncertain procedure.

Democratic Party Secretary Elly Schlein said: We have to convince the government that no one should be left behind. The most balanced society, between rights and duties, is the one that is the most inclusive “.

For his part, the mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, urged the opposition to fight in parliament for a law on the rights of homoparental families.
