Police in Halifax have opened a criminal investigation into the events following the 2003 World Youth Championships. Previously, the investigation has included a case from 2018, which was settled outside the courtroom.

In the sex scandal of the Canadian Hockey Association, which shook the hockey world, new allegations of sexual crimes have been revealed.
There is allegedly a video of the incident. TSN has three unnamed sources who saw the video and are willing to testify to its existence. None of the three parties have previously told the police or the Canadian Hockey Association about the matter.

According to the allegations, the players gave the woman several alcoholic drinks and persuaded her to perform many sexual acts. They also slapped him and spat on him. When the woman tried to leave the room, she was threatened. The plaintiff demanded more than 3.5 million Canadian dollars in compensation.
The Canadian Ice Hockey Federation has said it has reopened the investigation into the 2018 incident. Several NHL players who were in the youth national team at the time have publicly denied being involved in the events.
