Most reports of misunderstood behavior are about small crimes, but sometimes things go really wrong, such as the recent stabbing in Den Dolder and Nieuwegein. The Utrecht mayor Sharon Dijksma therefore believes that the cabinet should speed up an approach for people with confused behavior. Now research is being done for the umpteenth time, while action is needed. “It’s waiting for the next victim to fall,” Dijksma says EenVandaag. “You see that this topic has been put on the political agenda with a lot of energy for a few years. But that there are hardly any solutions so far.”
