Another man arrested for involvement in the Brussels crime

On Thursday, another man was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the terrorist attack in Brussels that killed two Swedes. This is reported by several French media. The man is said to have been arrested in Nantes in France.

According to the information, the man should have received a video from the suspected terrorist Abdesalam Lassoued shortly before the crime. In the clip, Lassoued claims responsibility for the crime. The two men are said to be related to each other.

After Monday’s attack, an intensive and extensive search for the perpetrator was underway. But it wasn’t until Tuesday morning that police found Lassoued in a cafe – where he was also shot dead by police.

After the deed, the terrorist group IS claimed responsibility for the attack, but the responsible Belgian prosecutor has argued that Lassoued acted alone.

Sweden receives criticism

Abdesalam Lassoued was a Tunisian citizen but stayed, among other things, in Sweden for several years. During Thursday, several Belgian parties criticized Sweden in connection with a debate in parliament, reports Echo.

The criticism concerns the fact that Sweden has not shared information about the suspected terrorist’s stay in Sweden, when, among other things, he was in prison before he was deported.

However, Minister of Justice Gunnar Strömmer does not think that Sweden has done anything wrong, according to the radio channel.
