On Saturday, another fatality was found after Friday’s severe train accident in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in southern Germany. Thus, the number of fatalities in the accident is counted as at least five.
– At the moment, I do not think there will be more, but I’m not sure, says the region’s deputy police chief Frank Hellwig.
A total of 44 people are injured, some of them children. According to the German TV channel BR, several people are also still missing.
What caused the derailment is still unclear.
