Another death after shooting in Farsta centre

Another person has since died the shooting in the Farsta center on Saturday, police confirm.
It concerns the 45-year-old man who was initially reported to be seriously injured.
A total of four people were shot.

It was last Saturday that four people were found with gunshot wounds in different places around the Farsta center in southern Stockholm.

Three people, a 15-year-old boy, a 45-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman, were taken to hospital by ambulance. A 15-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

– The injured are injured to varying extents, but we have classified them as seriously injured, said police spokesperson Ola Österling over the weekend.

Now the police confirm that the 45-year-old man has died from his injuries. The police write that the man was a foreign citizen and that they are now trying to contact relatives.

Two arrested after car chase

After an intense car chase, the police were able to quickly arrest two men in their 20s. They are now arrested, suspected of murder. The motive for the shooting is still unclear.

The police cannot currently comment on whether the shooting in Farsta is connected to other acts of violence that have occurred recently.

– We are looking at parallel events that have taken place recently, and also events further back in time in the Stockholm region and other regions in order to be able to draw conclusions about the context in which this has occurred. But I cannot make public what we have arrived at, says Ola Österling.
