The frequency of building collapses in Nigeria takes on dimensions more and more embarrassing according to President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Nigerian head of state expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, who died under the rubble in the Ebutte-Metta district of Lagos. More than twenty people, including several children, were rescued but at least eight people lost their lives in this new drama.
In his message, President Muhammadu Buhari asked the authorities to take the necessary measures so that stricter controls are established. According to specialists, most buildings are built without prior study of the soil.
In November, 45 workers who worked in a skyscraper under construction had lost their lives after the collapse of the 21-storey building in this same city.
