At around 3 pm on Friday, the police received a call that a part of a human body was in the water at the fishing port in Oxelösund, by Djupviken. One person had seen the body part and alerted.
Several police patrols went to the scene and they were able to establish that it was a body part. Who the body part belongs to is not ensured at present.
– Many question marks in the case, says police spokesman Dennis Johansson.
Earlier in May, parts of a human were found at the same port.
– It is clear that we will look at what emerges in the investigations, if there may be a connection, says Dennis Johansson.
The body part that was found in May has been identified via a forensic genetic examination, the head of the preliminary investigation at the police stated to Sörmlands Nyheter in mid-June.
