Another band that ends up behind Hooja – boycotting Rockbjörnen

Earlier in the week wrote The evening paper a revealing article that stirred up a hate storm like no other on the internet. The newspaper exposed the popular electro duo Hooray identities.

The music group has made a name for themselves with their danceable music and iconic clothing that covers their bodies from head to toe. And when the duo’s anonymity was blown away without their consent, it wasn’t just Aftonbladet’s readers who reacted strongly – other Swedish musicians also aired their opinions on the matter.

Among other things, the band responded The company by distancing themselves from Aftonbladet’s music award ceremony Rockbjörnen 2023, for which both the music group themselves and Hooja were both nominated.

Several jump on the boycott bandwagon after the Hooja revelation

The pop band Secret Club also wanted to put a coin in the boycott machine.

It was on Thursday that the band wrote that they thought Aftonbladet’s article was “disrespectful” and questioned the journalism throughout.

Hemliga Klubben was formed in 2018 and has released a number of songs as well as a debut album titled “Tills Alla Glömt Oss”.

The pop group was also nominated for Rockbjörnen’s “Newcomer of the Year” 2021.

Can we expect a domino effect from this?

So far, only the Company and Hemliga Klubben stand behind Hooja’s decision to distance themselves from Rockbjörnen 2023. Whether more artists will be added to that list remains to be seen. But September is still a long way off…
