The festival, which was started in 2014, had its beginnings as a tribute performance to the workers at the Husum factory. Now the festival has evolved and invites artists to exhibit their works, where everyone relates to the place in some way.
The initiator and organizer Helena Byström says that there have not been as many installations shown as this year.
Blue nail
The term comes from an expression from an older worker in the paper mill: “If you didn’t have a “blue nail” (blue nail), you were like naked.”
