Annoyed Modo Trainer: "Nothing we wanted"

Karlin refuses to agree that Djurgården is now in the driver’s seat.

Despite Modo losing two straight games.

— Today, I think we are clearly better than Djurgården. They have 16 shots in three periods, the second, third and fourth period, and we have 36. Then shots are not everything, we also don’t shoot that much except when we have good opportunities, but the analysis is crystal clear, Karlin thinks.

Modo looked to be heading for victory as the team turned 0–1 to 2–1 after goals from Thedor Niederbach and Mikkel Aagaard.

But Modo lost the SHL spot that a whole hockey-crazy city was yearning for, especially in recent days.

Only 1.16 remained in the third period when Linus Klasen shot 2-2 and fixed extra time. By then Djurgården had taken out the goalkeeper and played six against five.

Klasen had to advance in from the edge and finish undisturbed. Something that annoyed Karlin.

– It’s a calculation error, we’ll put pressure on him there, of course. Now we don’t do that and then it becomes a goal, he says.

Modo still has the home field advantage in the seventh and decisive game and Karlin talks about not changing anything in the preparations.

— It is above all to do the same things as the whole season, the same routines. Go through the match, analyze it, take with us what was good and improve what was less good, he says.
