(Finance) – The celebrations of the 95th anniversary of the Lateran Pacts he was born in 40th anniversary of the Agreement to modify the Concordat at Palazzo Borromeo, Italian Embassy to the Holy See. “These meetings on the Lateran Pacts are the moment in which the situation is taken stock and everyone shows a willingness to collaborate and follow up on these issues addressed” commented Parolin positively. The meeting saw all the top officials of the two parties, from the prime minister Giorgia Meloni to the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella. Present were several ministers and the leaders of the Italian Episcopal Conference, the cardinal president Matteo Zuppi and the general secretary, Msgr. Giuseppe Baturi.

From the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, comes the applause for the common desire to “implement the two fundamental principles on the basis of which the Concordat was stipulated, then renewed forty years ago, the autonomy and independence of the two orders, the Church and the State but also the desire to collaborate for the promotion of the good of man and for the common good of society”.

On the front of the Jubilee “Times are tight, we must recognize it, but – he said Parolin – let’s hope that some results can be achieved.”
