Freeski calculator Anni Kärävä finished tenth in the Laax slopestyle world cup.
In the qualifiers, the calculator had two calculations, of which the better result remained valid. The eight best calculators of the qualification made it to the finals.
For his first landing, Kärävä earned 63.1 points, which qualified him for the round instead of sixth.
A better landing was needed in the second round to reach the finals.
A little better was achieved, as Kärävä got 64.08 points for the second calculation. In the final results, 10th place, a place in the final would have required a better performance of 2.23 points.
– Anni was in a good mood. Both races were successful, but unfortunately there were minor cosmetic flaws that knocked her out of the finals. The Laax track has a lot of curves, which caused us a bit of a challenge. We haven’t trained them enough, admitted Ski Sport Finland’s freeski sport manager Jussi Mononen.
On Wednesday, it’s time for the men’s qualifiers in Laax, which will be attended by at least Teemu Lauronen. Elias Syrjä is in first place on the race’s waiting list.
