Anna Magnusson’s demands for partner Peppe Femling this Christmas

They have been a loving couple for many years and celebrated many holidays together.
This year, however, Christmas looks a little different for biathletes Anna Magnusson and Peppe Femling. She will compete and he will travel with her as support.
– I hope Peppe delivers and brings some gingerbread and sweets with him, says Anna to Expressen.

They are one of all well-known biathlon couples that we have in Sweden. Maybe the duo that has been together the longest? Peppe Femling32, has chosen to retire after an Olympic gold and two WC medals in the relay. But his partner Anna Magnusson29, competes at full strength.

Anna Magnusson’s list to Peppe Femling

When you have been together for several years, just like Anna and Peppe were, you really have time to get to know the other person inside and out. In the end, it’s easy to fall into the same routines all the time. Then it can be fun to try something new.

This year, the couple breaks a pattern when they choose not to celebrate Christmas at home in Östersund, but out in Europe. Anna Magnusson will, together with her national team teammate Jesper Nelincompete in the Biathlon World Team Challenge at Schalke 04’s arena on December 28. The partner Peppe travels down to Germany to celebrate Christmas with his beloved.
– I hope Peppe delivers and brings some gingerbread and sweets with him. I have started a list, says Magnusson to Expressen about the demands she has on Peppe.

Peppe Femling gets an important role

It will clearly be a different Christmas celebration for Magnusson and Femling. Since she competed in the French Le Grand-Bornand outside Annecy during the weekend, she does not go home to Sweden in between. She goes directly by train to Austria and Germany and avoids crowding at airports.
– I think it will still be quite nice to avoid this stress over Christmas and Christmas stress in general. It’s not so nice to fly right after this competition among all the people who have that particular stress and the arena competition is usually very appreciated, she says.

Peppe Femling does not only have the role of a supportive boyfriend who flies in with Christmas sweets and gingerbread cookies. He will also be a coach for Anna Magnusson and Jesper Nelin and help them with their tactics and shooting.
– We’ll see if he gets us to shoot in correctly, says Nelin.

It will be an unusual but exciting Christmas for Anna and Peppe. Good luck with the competition after Christmas, Anna. Hope you have a good time in Germany where you are now.
