It’s hard to believe: Anke Engelke started her career so young
Anyone who thinks that Anke Engelke always wanted to be an actress is wrong. The 58-year-old’s heart originally beat for music. As a child, she sang in her school choir, but much to her surprise, the choir became really famous. The talented schoolchildren even appeared on TV with stars like Heino. Engelke’s real breakthrough came with a duet with pop legend Udo Jürgens. At just eleven years old, she appeared on stage with the megastar and was promptly discovered for the radio.
