Anja Pärson is the Master of Masters.
It was clear on Sunday evening after a huge drama.
Now she talks about the victory in the acclaimed SVT program.
She has bagged 19 championship medals, 42 Alpine World Cup victories and twice overall World Cup winner. Now can Anja Pärson also title himself “Master of Masters”.
Anja’s first words
On Sunday evening, the 42-year-old legend won the extremely exciting final duel against Sebastian Larsson and got to lift the coveted trophy in the much-loved SVT program. For over ten years, Anja Pärson has turned down the Master of Masters, but was actually supposed to participate last year, but was forced to turn down shortly into the recording due to an injury.

This year, Anja was finally in what will go down in history as possibly the best season of the show ever. The competition was brutal but in the end Pärson was the strongest of them all.
“What a final! Thanks for all the nice words. Sebastian, you are an absolutely incredible person. Wonderful to run the final against you. What fantastic masters I got to know. 8 magical people and new friends. Thanks to the team behind the camera! Everyone is so important and you gave your all to give us a fair fight and magical television! Thank you SVT for allowing me to participate,” she writes with her first words on Instagram.
Tribute to Sebastian
After the final of the Masters of Masters, which was already recorded in September last year, the winner Anja really wants to pay tribute to her final opponent Larsson.
– He won the most branches and was a champion in every way. I managed to hold on when needed, she says diplomatically to the news agency TT.
“Great fun to have been part of the Master of Masters. Fantastic people that you got to know! Big congratulations Anja Pärson, as I said after the final, you were my superior woman! An extra thank you to my roomie Joel Lundqvist,” writes Sebastian himself on Instagram.

During three weeks of filming, the nine sports heroes made up in Catalonia and that it was Anja Pärson who won, she can’t even answer that herself.
– You drive until it’s over. I guess I have some ability to pick up what is needed when it matters. I have thought about that – that even in a “Champion of Champions” final I managed to push through, she tells TT and continues:
– As fun as it was to regain this nerve, it was just as hard to be reminded of the part of one’s life where you gave everything. It was clearly noticeable in “The Champions” that everyone loved to win as a team, but individually we were much more low-key when we won. The joy of winning together was much greater than winning alone.

“Satan in the street, what a fighter you are! Congratulations, congratulations,” writes another.
“You are absolutely outstanding! A legend! Congratulations, dear Anja,” writes a third.
