[Mis à jour le 11 avril 2023 à 18h15] Presented by the American company World Heritage Exhibition and the Ministry of Egyptian Antiquities, the immersive exhibition “Ramses & the gold of the Pharaohs” is making a long stop at La Grande Halle de La Villette in Paris until September 6, 2023. The unique opportunity to discover 180 priceless objects, most of which are seeing the light of day for the first time outside Egyptwhich bring the story of this great pharaoh to life.

Among these artefacts, visitors can discover the coffin of Ramses exceptionally lent to France by Egypt. The exhibition could beat the record of that devoted to Tutankhamun, which had been created 4 years earlier at the Grande Halle de La Villette, bringing together 1.4 million visitors in 2019. After two stops in Houston and San Francisco, the exhibition “Ramses & the gold of the Pharaohs” begins its European circuit starting with Paris before continuing in 8 other cities of the world.

Where is the Ramses exhibition in Paris?

The sarcophagus of Ramses is back in the capital, 47 years after its first exhibition in Paris, no longer at the Grand Palais but at La Grande Halle de La Villette. After 2019 when the capital was the second stage of the traveling exhibition on “Tutankhamun, the Treasure of the Pharaoh”, attracting more than 1 million visitors, the Grande Halle de La Villette reiterates the experience around the pharaohs with “Ramses & the gold of the Pharaohs”, the first European leg of a world tour.

What is the price of tickets for the Ramses exhibition in Paris?

The “Ramses & the Gold of the Pharaohs” exhibition is open every day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Count 24 euros for an adult ticket and 20 euros for a child ticket, from 4 to 14 years old (free for children under 4 years old). The audio guide is extra, at the price of 7 euros. Go to the ticket office.
