(Finance) – Good news for teachers and ATA who have filed an appeal with Anief: from 19 December to 23 December, the Italian courts agreed with the lawyers of the young union, condemning the school administration to a total of 146,900 euros in compensation. The reasons are several: ranging from seniority increments to substitute workand the missed payments of the summer months in the reconstruction of the career; from the non-recognition of ancillary salary (RPD/CIA) to those who enter into a “short and occasional” contract; from the assignment of the teacher’s card also to precarious workers to the monetization of unused holidays by precarious workers.
In two cases, the amount of compensation to the employee was very important: a good 24,780 euros (in Turin) and even 27,567 euros (in Cuneo).
According to Marcello Pacifico, national president of Anief “these 150,000 euros of compensation in one working week they are the confirmation of the correctness and usefulness of our work, always oriented towards making justice prevail, respect for the Constitution and for what the European Union asks of its member countries. We are therefore certainly happy with this trend, even if we are aware that too often the protection of personnel passes through the courts of the Republic and not through the decisions of the Government or Parliament. For those who, like us, believe in respect for human rights, to date there is nothing left but to produce an appeal through the valid lawyers of our independent union “.
