Opting out of Duplantis
The only thing we know now is that Sjöström cannot win the Bragdguldet, because she has already done it twice in her career. But about the Swedish curling hero Annette Norbergwho won two Olympic golds and is in the top flight, gets to decide, so it won’t be “Mondo” who gets the prestigious award.

Sarah is out, because she’s already won it twice. She can’t win again, that’s what the rules say, and it’s always been that way.

Armand Duplantis won the Bragdguldet 2020 and last year was knocked out by the discus thrower Daniel Ståhl. Now he can be that again this year, according to jury member Anette Norberg.
– I think it’s between beach volleyball and Truls. Many think that Mondo will probably get it again at some other time. The feat gold means so much more to Truls and the table tennis or the beach volleyball, so much more than to Duplantis, she admits in the interview.
