Android apps coming next month

Windows 11 will officially be able to run Android apps from next month. This is what Microsoft has just announced in a blog post, explaining that its operating system would benefit from an important update which will inaugurate new experiences for its users.

The Windows Subsystem for Android will not be available in its final stable version yet, but in the form of a fully functional public beta preview, to allow users to get a taste of how Android applications work. in Windows 11. This long-awaited feature will require downloading and installing the Amazon App Store, Amazon’s Android app store, from the Microsoft Store.

This update will also bring other new features. The Windows 11 taskbar should thus benefit from several improvements. Microsoft has planned to add a button to quickly activate or deactivate the microphone during a call, and will also integrate the weather widget, already present in Windows 10.

Microsoft also indicates that the next stable version of its OS will welcome the new version of its Notepad application as well as the new Windows Media Player, each of these applications adopting the codes of Fluent Design and supporting the dark theme to stick to the Windows 11 graphical changes.
